Requirements: A camera with a hotshoe and a lens between 35-85mm (50mm is perfect)

Introduction
Denisa Strakova is a world-class model and a legend in the nude-photography scene and has worked with some of the finest photographers in the world (see below for photos or check out her webpage: http://www.denisastrakova.com/portfolio/art/).
It is a great honour to have her in my studio and I have decided she would be the perfect model for my first workshop on fine-art nudes.
In this workshop, I will guide you through the complete process from finding inspiration, working with nude models, setting up the studio, posing techniques, choosing and retouching the photos.
the preliminary plan is as follows:
Saturday 13th May
10:00-10:30 Arrival and refreshments at the studio
Coffee, Tea, and pastries will be available as participants gather at the studio.
10:30-11:00 Introductory chat
A brief introductory chat quickly outlining the basics of studio and nude photography, including:
- studio flash & camera settings
- light modifiers & quality of light
- how to find and work with nude models
11:00-12:00 Sculptural Fine-Art Nudes: Lighting and Poses
- What are sculptural fine-art nudes?
- Common lighting schemes & studio setups
- The common types of fine-art nudes
- Body-types and standard poses
12:00-12:30 Coffee Break
Snacks will be provided
12:30-13:00 Studio setup and model introduction
We will be focusing purely on poses and so the studio will be setup in a standard fine-art nude setup similar to http://www.colinvickers.com/portfolio-visions
13:00-17:00 Shooting
Each participant will have the chance to work with the models and take photos (it can help to have some example photos of the poses you want stored on your phone/printed out).
17:00-17:30 Recap, questions.
We will quickly go through what we have learned and participants can ask any questions they have.
The studio will be cleaned up.
17:30-21:00 Relaxing at the bar (optional)
After the shoot, you are welcome to join us relaxing at the bar opposite the studio. They have great food and beer.
Sunday 14th May

10:30-12:30 Lightroom: Importing, sorting, and basic settings
The basics of Lightroom will be explained, including:
- Screen calibration
- Import settings and backup
- Lightroom filters and choosing the photos
- Histograms
- Lightroom develop settings
- Meta data
12:30-13:00 Coffee break
13:00-15:00 Photoshop basics
The basics of Photoshop will be explained with focus on retouching techniques:
- Photoshop layers and minimising file sizes
- Reshaping with liquify / puppet warp
- Cleaning skin with frequency separation
- Dodge & burning
- Sharpening
- Curves & contrast
- Vignettes
- Saving files
15:00-16:00 lunch break at a local Italian restaurant
16:00-16:30 Lightroom Post
- Exporting and formats (Facebook/web/print)
- Adding a watermark
- Organising photos
16:30-17:00 Recap, questions.
We will quickly go through what we have learned and participants can ask any questions they have.
Cancellation
Please note that if the required number of participants is not met before the 30th April, the workshop will be cancelled and all participants will be informed via email and any payments will be refunded in full.
